Las medidas del tiempo y del espacio
Siempre hemos sabido, mucho antes de Einstein, que para un encarcelado una hora de espera del vis à vis con su pareja es más larga que una hora de disfrute con ella, por mucho que ambas horas sean iguales en el reloj del funcionario. Ninguna fórmula matemática podría explicarnos por qué son tan diferentes las dos horas. Últimamente, los físicos del mundo entero están expectantes por saber si, efectivamente, los neutrinos corren más que la luz, pues si fuera así se vendrían abajo todas las medidas del tiempo y del espacio y también la teoría de Einstein. Sería como decir que uno corre más que su propia sombra o como imaginar (pero imagínelo quien pueda) que, corriendo más que la luz, podríamos retroceder en el tiempo, de modo que pudiéramos, por ejemplo, asistir desdoblados a nuestro propio nacimiento o que pudiéramos incluso impedir nosotros mismos, como fuere, que nuestra pobre madre nos diera a luz, en el caso de que la vida nos fuera tan mal, cosa que a tantos sucede. Entendemos muy bien que uno prefiriera no haber nacido, pero ¿Cómo entender que uno pudiera impedir su propio nacimiento? Y tantos enigmas que guarda el tiempo dentro de sí. ¿Será que algún día dejará de ser inexorable?
